Follow the allocation rule
A contract may say cash is used before bonus funds, or allocate stakes proportionally. That changes what remains after a losing round. Check whether cancelling a promotion also cancels linked winnings.
Read the release condition
A wagering counter reaching zero may not remove a maximum cashout, identity check or payment restriction. The definition of “cash” in the account interface needs to be read alongside the actual withdrawal rules.
Document a specific example
Use a hypothetical starting balance and state which allocation rule you assume. If that assumption is not in the operator terms, do not use the result to predict an account outcome. Our calculator concerns turnover only, not the release of a real balance.

About this explanation
Numerical examples are hypothetical unless a source is expressly identified. This page does not recommend an operator or promise an outcome. The UK regulator references explain technical terms; they are not Australian legal guidance.
