Split the timeline

A withdrawal can involve a pending period, identity or security checks, release by the operator and transfer by a bank or network. A fast network does not eliminate an earlier review. Weekends and business-day wording can also change the meaning of a quoted period.

Distinguish claims from observations

An operator's processing estimate belongs in a “published” column. A measured result needs the request time, approval time, arrival time, method and conditions. One completed payment is one observation, not a guarantee for other users.

Keep a useful record

Save the transaction identifier, status messages and the relevant policy version. If a request is delayed, compare it with the correct stage before escalating. Never send another payment just because an unsolicited message promises to release the first one.

About this explanation

Numerical examples are hypothetical unless a source is expressly identified. This page does not recommend an operator or promise an outcome. The UK regulator references explain technical terms; they are not Australian legal guidance.
