Blackjack: the key distinction
A claim of a low house edge needs an exact rule set and assumptions about decisions. Side bets and automatic strategies have different outcome models from the main hand.
Start with the natural payout
For an illustrative A$10 stake, a winning natural paid at 3:2 earns A$15, while 6:5 earns A$12, before return of the stake. That difference matters even though both tables are called blackjack. The dealerβs treatment of soft totals and the allowed player actions also belong in the comparison.
Do not merge main and side bets
An optional side bet has its own paytable and probabilities. A return figure describing optimal main-hand decisions cannot be applied to money staked on that side bet. Also distinguish a multi-hand layout from additional decisions attached to one hand.
Live table and bonus context
A streamed table changes how the game is delivered, not which printed rules apply. Operator promotions can give blackjack reduced contribution or no contribution at all. A useful review identifies the exact table and contribution rule without claiming that a strategy removes the risk of loss.
