Roulette: the key distinction
Recent wheel results do not make a number due. A live stream or an elaborate interface does not change the need to identify the exact rules and payout schedule.
Count the outcomes and read the payout
In a simplified fair single-zero model, a straight-up stake wins on one of 37 outcomes and pays 35:1. A A$1 stake therefore has an expected net result of (35 β 36)/37, approximately βA$0.027. This is a rule-based illustration, not a measured return for every product called roulette.
Variants can change the model
Adding another zero while retaining the same ordinary payouts changes the probability calculation. Special zero rules, multipliers and game-show features can change it again. A title that advertises a large maximum payout should provide the probabilities and qualifying conditions needed to understand it.
Bet size does not predict the next spin
Betting sequences can alter the amount at risk without changing the probabilities in an independent model. A promotion can also restrict roulette stakes or award reduced contribution. The table rules and the account contract must be considered separately.
