Understand the purpose

AUSTRAC's customer-identification announcement describes pre-verification requirements for Australian online gambling service providers. Offshore casino claims should not be confused with that Australian framework. A statement that an account uses crypto does not establish that identification is unnecessary.

Check the recipient

Before sending sensitive documents, establish the actual company, domain and reason for the request. Use the verified account channel rather than an unsolicited email attachment link. Read the privacy notice to understand handling and retention.

Record what remains unresolved

A desk review can describe the document policy without claiming that a real customer passed it. Testing the flow, measuring turnaround and checking deletion are separate tasks. Our review records distinguish the policy from any observation.
