Inspect the complete address
Read the hostname carefully, including spelling and suffix. A familiar word before a hyphen or inside a long subdomain is not proof of ownership. Search-result titles can be written by anyone controlling the indexed page.
Match legal documents
Compare the footer, terms, privacy notice and company details. Contradictory entities or an unrelated support domain need explanation. A mirror may use an old contract; do not copy its conditions into the main brand profile without checking the version.
Avoid location workarounds
A blocked or restricted address is not an invitation to find another route. Location restrictions can affect the contract and access to funds. Our reviews identify documentary evidence; they do not provide mirror directories or instructions for evading restrictions.
Quick checklist
- Read the hostname
- Compare the legal documents
- Check dates and ownership
- Do not assume mirrors are equivalent

About this explanation
Numerical examples are hypothetical unless a source is expressly identified. This page does not recommend an operator or promise an outcome. The UK regulator references explain technical terms; they are not Australian legal guidance.
